Driveway is made up of an excavation of approx 250mm deep. A sub base of granular stone (MOT Type 1) is laid to a depth of approx 150mm and consolidated with a vibrating roller.
A binder course of tarmacadam is then laid to a depth of approx 60mm. A wearing course of either black or red is laid to a depth of approx 25/30mm and consolidated with a vibrating roller.

All depths are dependant on the use of the drive and footpaths.
