Resin Bonded Paving

Driveway is made up of excavation of approx 250mm deep. A sub base of granular stone (MOT Type 1) is laid to a depth of approx 150mm and consolidated with a vibrating roller.

A tarmacadam base is laid on to the stone, usually at a depth of 50/60mm and then consolidated. Then the resin is applied onto the tarmac base in the form of a squeegee fashion and the gravel is laid by hand and rolled into the resin. Some surplas gravel is normally left on the job.

All depths are dependant on the use of the drive and footpaths

*Some form of edging should always be used as a retainer for the materials*

This is a job in Hadley Wood, Enfield using 6mm Golden Flint Gravel.
