Resin Bound Paving

Driveway is made up of an excavation of approx 250mm deep. A sub base of granular stone (MOT Type 1) is laid to a depth of approx 150mm and consolidated with a vibrating roller.

A tarmacadam base is laid on to the stone, usually at a depth of 50/60mm and then consolidated.
The chosen colour resin mix is then laid to an approx depth of 15/18mm and troweled flat for a smooth finish.

All depths are dependant on the use of the drive and footpaths.

*Some form of edging should always be used as a retainer for the materials*

This is a job in Enfield, where the customer started off with resin bonded aggregate and converted to resin bound using a 6mm Harvest Buff.

This is a job in Potters Bar. The customer chose a 6mm Autumn Tan. The pictures below show the tarmacadam base before the mix is applied and then the finished result.
